Unlike last year, we actually went out trick-or-treating this Halloween. In costume, of course:
In case you're wondering, Andrew's supposed to be Bamm-Bamm. I know Bamm-Bamm's dad is Barney Rubble, but Barney's costume isn't as iconic as Fred Flintstone's.
Everything was home-made, which turned out to be a pretty fun project. I even learned how to use the sewing machine to boot. The most challenging part was getting Andrew to stay still while I tried to fit and measure him.
We went trick-or-treating in Alice and James' neighborhood as a part of Nathan and Evan's entourage. Sadly, I have to report that our loot for the night was a single Kit-Kat bar. Andrew didn't quite understand the whole "take candy from a stranger" deal (which under normal circumstances is a good thing) and was very shy the whole time we were out.
Things will probably be very different next year. And I'm already thinking of costumes... :)
